
I've got some thoughts about having two caves, one with common metals where Miners are safe and the other with rare metals but players can be mugged and have their refineries raided etc but as so many of you are pro this idea I thought I'll make a thread here. The idea so far is that the Miners will grind the resources and then sell them to the BMD/Gun Dealer who will be able to craft the top tier stuff, however, If it's done wrong it could have the reverse effect and C4 becomes a cheap and readily available commodity or on the other side, it could become an extremely boring/tedious/harsh system which nobody wants to partake in. I have the mining and crafting already set up but where I'm struggling is creating a balance.

Powerful items like C4 are great as it can bring down a prop heavy base but there does seem to be an over abundance of items like this on most servers, it should be a hard item to obtain. I have seen multiple comments here that higher tier weapons/items should need to be crafted and I completely agree. This brings me on to my next project, mining and crafting. I can see many of us here would prefer a player driven economy instead of grinding minigames to then just sell item to an NPC so I modified Zeros WeedOP to gives buffs to players (increased speed, jump, faster reload, less recoil etc) and got rid of selling to the NPC entirely and balancing that has been fairly straight forward. I started creating a new server over a year ago as the new meta of DarkRP is stale and no better than a mobile game now.
